In addition to ALL IN: Following Jesus in College that TCU BSM uses for discipleship, TCU BSM Directors, Sean and Janelle Willeford, have written devotionals in a series called the “Daily Walk Through the Bible.

The “Daily Walk Through the Bible” series was born out of a desire to regularly connect with students in the Ifugao Bible Institute (Ifugao, Philippines), operated by the Willeford’s missions organization, PRIME Ministries, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.” God desires relationship with us. He desires a relationship with daily interaction. We can only follow God if we know the direction he desires us to go. We can best follow him through the daily reading of the Bible and communication with him in prayer.

Studies suggest very few Christians read their Bible daily. Many who read the Bible daily complete reading plans yet have a surface level knowledge of the Scriptures. In addition, there are passages in the Bible which are difficult to understand. If we are unable to accurately understand and interpret the Scriptures, we cannot apply them to our daily lives.

The “Daily Walk Through the Bible” series is a cross-cultural tool intended to provide the reader with an overview of a passage of Scripture as well as insights for application in our daily walk with God. It is our hope, this tool will help readers engage with God’s Word on a deeper level and encourage you to walk with God daily. The result will be a closer walk with God through a greater understanding of the Scriptures.
